IMMERSIVE MEDIA

12/15/2022: 360 AV recording of In Viridi Lux live spatial audio performance at Understory Miami using Envelop for Live for spatial audio and Volta XR for video. This immersive AV performance was gratefully funded by the Miami Individual Artist (MIA) Stipend Program.
Grant submission viewable here.

1/22/21: This first iteration of In Viridi Lux was an immersive and contemplative ambient musical experience designed for one person at a time to experience being immersed in green light while listening to live “green music” played back on a surround sound system in a green tent using the ambisonic music performance software Envelop for Live.
The music and sounds incorporated into the performances will use modal improvisation with notes rooted in frequencies that are divisors of the numbers found in the frequency spectrum of green light, that is to say wavelength frequencies between ~ 540–580 THz. These frequency values will then be transposed into the audio domain and accompanied with a variety of green light and video sources that will fill the performance space. In a time of nearly ubiquitous over-stimulation and increasingly fractured human attention spans, In Viridi Lux will create a singular, colorful and intimate ambient music experience designed for one person at a time to immerse themselves in green light and music.
This performance was generously made possible by an Alt B Micro-Grant from the Miami Downtown Development Association.
